Summer Performing Arts Camp

Xanadu JR. follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California, on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first Roller Disco. (Hey, it’s 1980!)

Our two-week summer performing arts program is open to any student entering grades 6-12 from any school district. It opens with auditions and concludes with two live performances. Past performances have included Annie, Guys and Dolls, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors, Shrek, Jr., the Musical Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr., Willy Wonka, Jr., Disney Channel’s High School Musical, and more! 

Xanadu JR. is inspired by the Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical and the Universal Pictures’ cult classic movie that starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. Xanadu JR. is a moving, electrifying tale of endless fun that will keep audiences in stitches while the original, legendary chart-topping tunes lift them out of their seats.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

• Open to students entering grades 6 to 12 from any school.
• Held at the Richland Performing Arts Center (RPAC) at Richland High School – camp begins with auditions and concludes with two live performances.
• Meets from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, excluding performances. • Accommodates a variety of skill levels, including students with little to no experience in musical theater.
• Tuition is $275 – includes acting, vocal and choreography classes, rehearsals, scripts, costumes, a t-shirt and two tickets to the show. A sibling discount is available.
• Students should bring a lunch.

• Tuition must be paid two weeks prior to the start of the program.
• Refunds will be given only if the camp session is canceled.
