Denzel, a single father of three, waited over a year to find care. Once a small business owner, he had to close his business and stay home full-time when no child care options were available. Last month, two toddler spots opened at The Learning Lamp, lifting a huge weight off Denzel’s shoulders and allowing him to return to work. “Having child care opened opportunities and allowed me to get my life back in order,” he shared.

The Learning Lamp’s impact and vision

We serve nearly 900 children across six counties, but our waitlist continues to grow, with more than 300 families still in need of care. Meeting this demand would require an additional 50 child care professionals.
