Tuition Assistance

Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch through the National School Lunch Program may request tuition assistance to attend our summer programs.

ForFamilies_SummerCamp_TuitionAssistanceFamilies who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch but still need help may request tuition assistance by writing a letter explaining the circumstances.

We participate in Pennsylvania’s child care subsidy program. This program helps eligible families pay for child care. Child care subsidy is available for families attending our licensed child care centers, after school and summer camp programs. For details, or to register, please call the Early Learning Resource Center (formerly CCIS) in your county:

  • Bedford County: 814-846-5130
  • Cambria County: 814-846-5130
  • Fayette County: 724-836-4580
  • Somerset County: 814-445-9260

Since there may be a waiting list for subsidy, we strongly encourage families to contact their local Early Learning Resource Center (formerly CCIS) as soon as they know they will need child care.

  • @thelearninglamp:The Employee Spotlight this week features Heidi Buchan, our Fingerprint Specialist and Prevention Assistant at The Learning Lamp. Heidi has called our main office home for fingerprinting services for over three years now. Her office sees the most activity of any at TLL and is the source of thousands of new faces every year. It’s a common occurrence for someone to visit for a fingerprinting appointment then end up being reunited with an old friend who works in the main office. “I really enjoy working in a friendly environment with some pretty great co-workers,” says Buchan. “And I appreciate working for an organization that does so much for children in our area.” We’re also appreciative of Heidi and all the work she does for us. Thank you, Heidi!
