Parents As Teachers is a FREE evidence-based parent education, family support, and school readiness home visiting program enrolling families in Fayette County.
The program is designed for expectant parents and parents/caregivers of young children birth through age 5 who would welcome or benefit from:
- added support to understand child development and corresponding physical, cognitive, and social-emotional developmental milestones
- increased quality parent-child interaction and bonding
- best practices in positive parenting
- opportunities to connect with and learn from peers
- assistance accessing outside resources such as Adult Basic Education classes or early intervention services for children with developmental delays
