PA Certified Teachers

If you are a PA certified teacher, The Learning Lamp invites you to apply to work as a substitute teacher with our partner school districts.

To apply to be a substitute teacher with our organization and work at school districts throughout Cambria, Somerset and Bedford counties, click here to fill out an online application.

After being interviewed, additional requirements must be met. If offered a position as a substitute teacher, you will be contacted by one of our onboarding specialists to assist you in submitting the following:

• A valid PA Teaching Certification
• PA Criminal Records check (Act 34) less than one year old. ($22 processing fee required)
• PA Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) that is clean and less than one year old. ($10 credit card charge required)
• Completed Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form (Act 168)
• FBI Criminal History Record that is clean and less than one year old.
• Proof of TB test and physical less than one year old (Drug testing is required for any teacher interested in subbing at Somerset Area School District)
• Mandated Reporter Certificates
